DONE DEAL: Tottenham confirm another transfer on deadline day

Tottenham Hotspur has confirmed their midfielder Lewis Holtby has left White Hart Lane on a temporary basis in the final hours of the deadline day.

The 23-year-old has now agreed to join Bundesliga outfir Hamburg on a season-long loan. He joined the North London club from Schalke in January 2013 on a four and a half year deal.

“Lewis Holtby has joined Bundesliga side Hamburg on a one-year loan with a view to a permanent transfer,” Tottenham released a statement on their official website.

“Lewis, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Fulham, has made 41 appearances for us in all competitions.”
